Rolls-Royce hits new sales record

ROLLS-ROYCE has strolled luxuriously to a record half-year new car sales total - although actual volumes have not been released yet. Sales worldwide have risen by 33% compared with the January to June 2013 period, with sales in Europe up by more than 60%. There was also strong growth in Asia Pacific (up nearly 40%) and in the Middle East (up by more than 30%).

If you thought we didn’t need another Carrera version of the current 911, look away now – the Carrera GTS is revealed today, boasting a little bit more power, a millisecond or two of extra performance, a smidge more width, a smattering of cosmetic frippery and costing £12,500 more than a boggo model. If you happen to be Che Guevara or any other revolutionary, it isn’t for you. Let’s face it, this is a fairly blatant run-out job, with the next 911 due next year, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be brilliant to drive.

The Fun-Vii is a socially-integrated vehicle that can change its appearance as quickly as the owner can download an app. The surfacing of the concept can be used as a display surface for business, with the body color and display content changeable at will.
