Built on the same EMPS2 platform from PSA that will be used on the new Peugeot 308, the new C4 Picasso sheds weight by using aluminium for the bonnet, alloy components, a composite rear floor and tailgate to make the new C4 Picasso 140kg lighter than the old Picasso.

Fast and Furious star Paul Walker dead at 40

According to numerous reports, Fast and Furious star Paul Walker has been killed in a single-car crash that took place in a Southern California office park. Conflicting eyewitness reports suggest that Walker was either driving, or was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT when it struck a tree and burst into flames killing Walker and a passenger.

Changes at Nissan Design

Nissan yesterday announced a series of changes within its higher-level design structure - with VPs responsible for design in Europe and America effectively swapping roles. Alfonso Albaisa, who became VP of Design at Nissan Design Europe's London-based studio in 2007, will be going back to Nissan Design America's San Diego studio as VP of Design. It marks a return to the West Coast for Albaisa, who originally joined Nissan in 1988.
