Timeless Chrysler classics debut at Amelia Island

Three decades of Chrysler concept cars from the '40s, '50s and '60s will be on display at the 19th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance on March 9. The Thunderbolt roadster and Newport will be on hand to show off design elements inspired by the land-speed record duals of the 1930s in Bonneville. The Thunderbolt is being presented on behalf of the Driehaus Collection and the Newport will be provide by The National Automotive Museum of Reno, Nev.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee – a replacement for the Jeep Liberty – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show in April. So when Jalopnik published some less than good looking photos of the new Jeep Cherokee yesterday, the PR machine at Jeep went in to overdrive to bring forward the release of official photos of the new Cherokee, to hopefully stem the less than flattering comments on the new Cherokee’s looks. Toyota says quake-hit plants escape major structural damage

Toyota Motor Corp. has released the first damage report for its northern Japanese factories in the region hammered by Friday's massive earthquake, saying some equipment and fixtures will need repairs but that the plants sustained no major structural harm. For days after the quake, Toyota had trouble contacting it plants in the northern Japan quake zone, making it difficult to assess their status.
