Chevy V8 Engine Draft Vent Tube Original draft vent tube for Chevy V8 engines that do not use a PCV valve. Tube mounts behind the distributor. Solid with no dents or kinks in the tube. This has been media blasted and painted with a coat of engine gray primer to keep it from rusting. I recommend adding more primer coat and then paint it with the paint of your choice. You will need the retaining bolt, steel clamp that secures it to the bellhousing (clamp shown in photo #4 NOT included in this auction, for reference purposes only) and seals. Pictures are part of the description. Ask all questions before bidding. If you need to make a clamp, the material needed is a 1/16th thick piece of steel that is 8 inches long and 7/8ths inch wide. The short arm is 2 inches long. The bolt hole is 3/8ths. U.S., FPO/APO Shipping Info Shipping within 1 day of receipt of payment through PayPal or by Money Order. Ford debuts another Australian hot rod
Mon, 27 Aug 2012Ford's Australian-based Performance Vehicles operation has unveiled its fastest car to date—the Falcon-based FPV GT R-spec. To be assembled at Ford Performance Vehicle's headquarters on the outskirts of Melbourne, the rear-wheel drive GT R-spec packs the same engine as the earlier GT335, a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 449 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. But, a range of chassis modifications, including a retuned suspension, wider 19-inch rear wheels and tires and new launch control system are claimed to provide the greater off-the-line speed than any previous model from Ford's Australian outpost.
Is the Volkswagen BlueSport Roadster back on?
Sun, 05 May 2013There was talk that VW needed at least three of its brands to take the BlueSport project in to production, and there was talk not just of a VW Bluesport but also a SEAT BlueSport, one from Skoda, another from Audi and even a Porsche BlueSport. But in the end, not a single part of VW’s vast group seemed enamoured enough with the BlueSport to take the project forward. But it now looks as though the idea of the BlueSport is far from dead, with VW’s design boss, Walter de Silva, declaring that he’s a big fan of the BlueSport project, and he’s far from the only one in the VW Group who feels the same.
Fiat 500 by Diesel – now it’s the convertible 500C by Diesel
Sat, 10 Apr 2010The Fiat 500C by Diesel Fiat has been trying hard to churn out as many limited edition versions of the 500 as MINI have managed on their own re-created motoring icon. That’s probably an impossible target (we reckoned that MINI managed a new model a month last year) but that’s not going to stop Fiat having a good old bash at milking the ‘Limited Edition’ market. One of the earliest limited edition specials from the Fiat 500 was the ‘Style’ makeover from designers Diesel.
