New 2015 Ford Focus ST revealed – Diesel ST gets 182 bhp

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

The new Ford Focus ST arrives – and there’s a diesel version too. Following a tease for the new Ford Focus ST earlier this week, Ford has now revealed the new ST – and the ST diesel – as Ford’s refreshed ST heads to the Goodwood Festival of Speed for its public debut today. Now available not only as a hatchback and estate, but with a petrol or diesel too, the 2015 ST gets lots of cosmetic teaks that match those the rest of the Focus range got recently.

On video: the world's fastest truck

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

This is one lorry that you wouldn't get stuck behind on the motorway - Shockwave is the world's fastest jet-powered truck, with a top speed of almost 400mph. Based on a Peterbilt Semi, the four-ton beast generates 36,000hp and can cover quarter of a mile in six and a half seconds. Power comes from three Pratt & Whitney J34-48 jet engines, each of which produces 12,000hp.

The last Volvo XC90 rolls off the production line to make way for the all new 2015 XC90

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

The last Volvo XC90 rolls off the production line in Sweden. When the current Volvo XC90 arrived in 2002 it staked a claim as the perfect family SUV, a role it’s managed to hang on to – more or less – even though the XC90 is now long past its sell-by date. That’s because the 2002 XC90 was so cleverly conceived in the first place, with family-friendly ease of access to the back row of seats, inflatable side curtains for all three rows of seats, an integrated adjustable booster cushion for children, safety belt tensioners for all seats, easy to drive, decent looking and almost classless.
