Hartmut Warkuss to receive 2014 EyesOn Design Catalyst Award
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Hartmut Warkuss, former head of Volkswagen Design, will be awarded the 2014 Catalyst Award by EyesOn Design at next week's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Warkuss, who is credited with overseeing the design of the Bugatti Veyron, the VW Concept (new Beetle) and the Audi TT Concept, will be presented with the award by Peter Schreyer, Hyundai's president and chief design officer and the 2014 recipient of the EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Automotive Brand Awards 2012 winners revealed
Tue, 14 Aug 2012The Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupé and Volkswagen Up were amongst the winners of the 'Best of Best' awards at this year's Automotive Brand Awards. The difficult job of picking this year's winners went to a panel of representatives from the media, design and brand communications world along with universities and academies. The chosen few were: freelance journalist Masatsugu Arimoto; freelance author and journalist Jürgen Lewandowski and Head of Transportation Interior Design at Hochschule Reutlingen, Professor Andrea Lipp.
Audi updates the R8 LMS racer for 2010

Built to FIA GT3 spec, the ‘evolution’ cars will be delivered by mid-April 2010. Introduced in 2009, the the R8 LMS won three championship titles and 23 wins out of 73 races in its first year.What has Audi changed on the updated R8 LMS?The updated car includes changes to the chassis and suspension, a new six-speed sequential gearbox and a revised cooling system to improve the car’s performance in high ambient temperatures.
