Hartmut Warkuss to receive 2014 EyesOn Design Catalyst Award
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Hartmut Warkuss, former head of Volkswagen Design, will be awarded the 2014 Catalyst Award by EyesOn Design at next week's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Warkuss, who is credited with overseeing the design of the Bugatti Veyron, the VW Concept (new Beetle) and the Audi TT Concept, will be presented with the award by Peter Schreyer, Hyundai's president and chief design officer and the 2014 recipient of the EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Briggs Cunningham's Le Mans Corvette race car found in Florida
Tue, 31 Jul 2012One of three 1960 Chevrolet Corvettes campaigned by Briggs Cunningham at the 24 Hours of Le Mans--a car whose whereabouts have been unknown for more than 30 years--has been found. The car, which wore the No. 1 for the Le Mans race with drivers Cunningham and William Kimberley, will be shown publicly at the Corvettes at Carlisle show in Carlisle, Pa., in late August.
