Hyundai Genesis gets Detroit 2014 debut
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Cars we don’t get in the UK 101 would have to include the Hyundai Genesis American-market saloon in its syllabus. It’s an upmarket barge of a car that we actually wouldn’t mind gracing our roads over here in Blighty – and, interestingly, the new car is destined for these shores. Creapole: creating the next generation of creative designers
Thu, 20 Sep 2012As the automotive industry continues to look towards other design disciplines for inspiration and ideas, French design school Creapole is increasingly well positioned to cater for their needs. While relatively small, Creapole's range of courses – which as well as Transport Design includes Product Design, Fashion, Art Design, Visual Communication, Movie and Video Game Animation, and Interior Architecture – gives its students experience in a broad range of creative media. The foundations of Creapole's success lie in its hands-on approach not only to teaching, but also to the tools used by its students.
Koenigsegg Agera R smashes six Guinness world records: Video
Wed, 30 Nov 2011Koenigsegg, our favorite hard-to-pronounce Swedish supercar manufacturer, got the word on Wednesday that its latest car has broken six world records. The Agera R, which uses a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, sprinted from 0 to 300 kph (186.4 mph) in a Stephen Hawking-impressing 14.53 seconds. For us nonmetric types, the Agera R also went from 0 to 200 mph in 17.68 seconds; both runs were verified with a Racelogic VBox recorder.
