These are the most economical hubs available and work well for early production racing karts or any type motorsports equipment requiring a USA bolt pattern for a 1.00" axle shaft. These are standard racing kart hubs to fit 5" and 6" kart rims Hub specs: 1/4" keyway and single pinch locking Includes (3) 1/4-28 studs and serrated flange nuts Center mounting portion for rim mounting is 1 3/4" diameter Hub width is 1 3/4" Distance between wheel studs center to center is 1 1/8" Hubs are also pre-drilled for 5/16-24 stud if used on a heavy duty application - Studs not included.

Milk float sets new speed record
Fri, 27 Jun 2014A SUPERCHARGED milk float has picked up a new world record after reaching a speed of 84mph on a racing circuit. The specially-adapted vehicle, sponsored by Weetabix On The Go Breakfast Drinks, beat the existing top speed for a milk float of 77mph on the tarmac at Bruntingthopre in Leicestershire. Complete with bull-bars, and boasting a V8 engine, the float was crafted from a traditional 4mph electric float.
This year's Pilkington Glass Awards winners announced at RCA grad show
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Last week's Royal College of Art graduation exhibition (full report coming soon) also played host to the 27th annual Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards, with four students acknowledged by the glass making company. The Best Use of Glazing award was won by Jannis Carius' Bentley project, while Alexander Ibbett picked up prize for Best Design Interpretation with his 'downloadable' car. Meanwhile Alexander Brink and Nick Dunderdale were commended in the design interpretation category.
