Land Rover Raises Evoque’s Game
Mon, 03 Mar 2014LAND ROVER is to launch a hot version of its popular Evoque. The Autobiography Dynamic variant will be powered by an uprated version of the firm’s 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor. In 281 horsepower trim, Land Rover claims this go-faster Evoque will hit 60mph from rest in 6.7 and go on to a top speed limited to 140mph.
Saab secures more funds as it seeks to avert collapse
Mon, 27 Jun 2011Saab parent Swedish Automobiles has found another financial lifeline in China as the struggling carmaker faces possible legal action from unions over unpaid wages. In a statement this morning, Swedish Automobiles announced that an un-named Chinese firm has placed an order for 582 Saab vehicles, valued at 13 million Euro (£11.5m) with full pre-payment 'expected to be made this week'. SEAT hasn’t got round to building its first SUV, but the new SEAT Leon X-Perience is a half-way step – for SEAT and its customers – with added butchness and off-road pretensions in a high-riding estate car. SEAT has gone the usual ‘Allroad’ route for the X-Perience by fitting new bumpers, adding skid plates, extra plastic cladding and pumping up the ride height to give an estate that actually looks quite alright and, with 4WD and diff locks, can actually walk some of the walk.
