Volkswagen chose the Frankfurt motor show to unveil the revolutionary L1 Concept - a diesel-electric hybrid vehicle constructed from aluminum and carbon fiber.  Weighing 380kg, the L1 can seat two occupants in tandem. Lexus LFA Nurburgring sets a Lap Record at the Nordschleife The news that the Lexus LFA Nurburgring has lapped the track after which it is named in a remarkable 7:14.64 will bring a smile to the face of Hiromu Naruse, wherever he may be. Hiromu Naruse was considers by most whose opinion matters to be the ‘Godfather’ of the Japanese performance car’, and devoted most of the last decade of his life to honing and developing the LFA. He lost his life in an LFA Nurburgring Edition in the Summer of 2010 whilst testing the car near the Nurburgring itself, and it’s nice to think that if he’d still been with us, despite his age, it could well have been Naruse-san at the wheel.

SEAT Leon Cupra & Ibiza FR Revealed

The SEAT Leon Cupra (pictured above) launches at Barcelona in May, together with the Ibiza FR The Cupra is the top of the hot tree in the SEAT world, and so the new SEAT Leon Cupra will sit ahead of the Leon FR. With 240bhp and a 0-60 of around 6.4 seconds this is a quick car. The Cupra gets a set of 18″ alloy wheels, lower suspension, a different grill and door mirrors and a chromed tailpipe.
