BY
VICTOR SEARA
PHOTOGRAPHS BY FLAVIO MAZZI
FORWARD BY FROILAN GONZALEZ

This publication, which consists mainly of photographs, recalls Michael Schumacher's career from 1996 to 2003, commencing with the German Champion's debut with the Ferrari Team until his last triumph.
This book is a first for the Gran Tour Publishing House in the motor sport category. It was compiled thanks to the collaboration of Victor Seara and Flavio Mazzi.
Victor Seara is a distinguished and accredited FIA journalist of El Mundo and Motor 16who has for a number of years followed the F1 Circus all over the world. Flavio Mazzi, an accredited FIA photographer since 1995, is responsible for all of the photographs featured in this book.
Victor Seara's story commences in late 1995 with Schumacher's arrival at the Ferrari Team. He writes about the German Champion?s achievements from his debut in the Ferarri 412 T2 at Fiorano, where he wore white overalls with no sponsorship, and ends with Schumacher conquering his sixth world title in 2003.
The story of his success is introduced by Froilan Gonzalez, the first racing car driver to win a Grand Prix in a Ferrari Formula 1 car, way back in 1951.
The book details each Grand Prix championship race, and all significant events of the Ferrari Team and their champion.

Lexus LF-Ch – the front

Mon, 07 Sep 2009

Front view of the Lexus LF-Ch (click image for bigger photo) The LF-Ch is a big deal for Lexus. They do make a very good car, but almost all are fairly uninspiring. The sporty ISs is a fairly good drive, and the IS Convertible is a decent alternative for a 4 seat drop-top as long as you don’t want to thrash the car to the edge of its limits.

Detroit Auto Show: Volvo S60 sedan

Sun, 11 Jan 2009

Showing a new direction inspired by Scandinavian design, Volvo displayed a concept vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show that previews the new S60 sedan, due in 18 months. The car has a new face--with angled headlamps, a coupe roofline and no B-pillar--and an interior with the "environment of a modern Scandinavian living room," said Steve Mattin, Volvo senior vice president of design. The car's more emotional look is part of a longer-term strategy to give Volvo a more exciting image in the United States through changes in product design and marketing, said Stephen Odell, CEO of Volvo Car Corp.

Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. That investment was to be £335 million with 700 new jobs created in Wolverhampton – and more than 2,000 in the supply chain – but it seems that’s not going to be enough with Jaguar Land Rover sales continuing to grow at a great rate of knots.
