One Lap of the Web: Diesels, Deadmau5, Excalibur and Excelsior!
Mon, 03 Feb 2014-- It's the 50th anniversary of Excalibur, the company with fine craftsmen who keep the neoclassical motoring dream alive, or in some vaguely zombielike semblance thereof. And while the Excalibur's retro vibes arose from the mausoleum of the Mercedes-Benz SSK, Hemmings has discovered Brooks Stevens's other neoclassic: the Excalibur 35X, meant to look like a Bugatti Type 35. Peugeot RCZ revealed

It’s a real statement of intent to push Peugeot more towards the ‘Sporty’ and leave Citroen to do the ‘Luxury’. And it looks set to cost less than £20k (as a starting point) when it finally goes on sale next Spring after an official reveal at Frankfurt next month.
Motorists still not switched on to electric cars
Thu, 28 Nov 2013Renault A new survey of 3,000 British motorists suggests there is still a long way to go before electric cars become a serious purchasing choice for the majority, with many saying the government isn’t doing enough to promote them. According to the latest Auto Trader Owner’s Guide, only 1% of UK drivers own what it calls an Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV). The poll also illustrates some significant age and gender divides, and shows that price continues to be a serious hindrance to more environmentally friendly motoring.
