Lexus LF-NX Concept Compact SUV/Crossover makes a statement: Frankfurt 2013
Thu, 12 Sep 2013The Lexus LF-NX SUV/Crossover Concept (pictured) arrives at Frankfurt We actually saw the first photos of the Lexus LF-NX – a more compact SUV/Crossover Concept – in the run-up to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it certainly looked dramatic. In the flesh, the LF-NX actually looks even m0re dramatic; it’s almost cartoon-like in its styling and proportions. Looking a little like Lexus have taken their statement spindle grill, made it bigger and created a body design using origami, the LF-NX is certainly not a shy and retiring, understated Lexus.
BMW Concept 1-series tii and M3 saloon (2007): first official pictures
Wed, 24 Oct 2007By Steve Moody First Official Pictures 24 October 2007 02:47 Two World Debuts at Tokyo: Are BMW turning Japanese? With the vast proliferation of BMW models, there just aren’t enough motor shows to go round, so Tokyo was treated to the unusual sight of two world debuts from the Germans: the outwardly sensible (but mental behind its closed four doors) M3 and the mental-in-every-way Concept 1 Series tii. The Concept 1 Series tii, BMW executives were extremely keen to point out, is a design study intended to highlight the new coupe’s links to great road and racing BMWs of the past, such as the 2002 tii of the 60s and 70s and the brilliant 3.0 CSL of the 70s.
Alfa Romeo US relaunch delayed
Mon, 11 Apr 2011Alfa Romeo Giulietta - American launch delayed until 2013 It’s getting on for two years since we reported that Alfa Romeo were going to relaunch themselves in the US after an absence of twenty years, to give Americans an Italian alternative to the likes of Audi, BMW and Mercedes. A quality European alternative with Italian flair was the logic. But within a month of the announcement that the US was to be beguiled by Alfas once more came the news that the MiTo wouldn’t be going on the American sojourn.
