ANOTHER RISE in new car sales in February has meant purchases have increased every month for two years. A total of 68,736 vehicles were registered last month - a 3% rise on the total for February 2013, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. Sales for the first two months of this year have totalled 223,298 - a 6.1% rise on the total for the first two months of 2013
SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said the two years of continuous growth was "a real endorsement of consumer confidence and the attractiveness of the new car market".

It will take just a bit more than $38,000 to get into Audi's 2009 Q5 all-wheel-drive crossover. Audi has set the sticker price for the Q5 Premium, which is the starter trim level, at $38,025 including shipping charges. There are two steps up the trim-level ladder--the Premium Plus, which stickers for $42,325, and the Prestige, which carries a bottom line of $49,025.

The McLaren P1 is pretty much out in the open, and has even had it’s dynamic debut – in the hands of Jenson Button – at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. So why is there a McLaren P1 blatting round the Nurburgring wearing a small badge that says ‘XP2R’? Is this a ‘special’ P1; perhaps the first hint that McLaren are going to produce an even more extreme P1?
