This auction is for a pair of Goodyear 600 x 6 brake calipers. They are both Assembly number 9521239, and part numbers 953040 with one of them being a 953040A. Both of the calipers look to be in good used condition. They should be considered good candidates for new o-ring seals or overhauling. Please check you parts manual to determine if these are correct for your aircraft.  As with any "used" part we are selling these calipers "as is" with no warranty offered or implied. The Port Townsend Aero Museum received these calipers as a donation from a gentleman who was retiring after a lifetime of owning an aircraft repair business. These brake calipers were part of this "used but serviceable" inventory that he had been hanging onto for many years.    

These calipers are being offered for auction by the Port Townsend Aero Museum in Port Townsend Washington. We are a non-profit 501 C-3 organization that is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of antique and classic aircraft through the involvement of our local youth population. SEAT lets the train take the strain

SEAT by Train from the Martorell Factory to the Port of Barcelona The building of this project started in 2005 -  a joint venture between SEAT and Autometro – as an innovative way to transport cars from the factory to the port, and has made a big difference to the traffic on Catalan roads in that time, taking more than 20,000 lorries off the roads and racking up a big saving in SEAT’s carbon footprint. Throughout 2008 the rail link transported cars on twice daily runs on double-decker carriages over 400 metres long, carrying more than 170 cars at a time. Try doing that on the roads!

Exclusive: Honda to Close European Design Studios

In a surprise announcement, Honda has decided to close design operations in Europe, based in Germany. The decision to shut down both the car design and motorcycle design studios of Honda R&D Europe (HRE-G) in Offenbach, near Frankfurt was taken at the end of September and came as a shock announcement to employees. It represents the latest casualty in cuts for the car design community.
