I USED THIS TIRE FOR ABOUT 1,000 MILES THEN I BOUGHT A FULL SET OF BRIDGESTONE POTENZAS, Z RATED. THIS TIRE IS THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRE FOR THE 1984 THRU 1987 CORVETTES. Although more about the tech than the design, the IBE does drop a few clues to the next Leon family.It's based on the running gear of the new Leon and packs a 75kW electric engine capable of daily use around town thanks to lithium ion batteries with 18kWh capacity. The IBE is a classic 2+2 shooting brake design and is teeny tiny; at 3780mm long, it's 10 inches shorter than an Ibiza supermini.Seat IBE concept car: the electrical gubbins The IBE packs an electric motor under bonnet driving the front wheels and fed by rear-mounted batteries.

Fri, 28 Nov 2008The city of Turin has been celebrating as World Design Capital 2008 this year with a series of over 200 separate events and exhibitions. One of the highlights has been a series of three themed shows running throughout the year, entitled '20th Century', 'Speed' and 'Dream'; the final exhibition of this trilogy. Housed at the Giovanni Agnelli Espositione - the wonderful Nervi-designed hall on Corso Massimo D'Azeglio that used to host the Salone di Torino in the 1950s - 'Dream' is a fabulous exhibition but, regrettably, one that hasn't been well publicized outside of Turin city.
Chevrolet Camaro outsells the Ford Mustang for first time since 1993
Wed, 01 Jul 2009Some drivers weren't even born the last time the Chevrolet Camaro outsold the Ford Mustang. But it happened in June as the reborn Camaro dusted the restyled Mustang, 9,320 to 7,362. The last time the Camaro beat the Mustang in a monthly sales race was October 1993, when Chevy sold 10,985 Camaros and Ford sold 5,680 Mustangs.
