By wrapping your headers with Exhaust Insulating Wrap you can maintain hotter exhaust gasses, which will exit the system faster as they are not as dense. As the gases exit the exhaust quicker, exhaust scavenging is improved, which in turn leads to lower intake temperatures. Cool-It Exhaust Insulation Wrap can withstand continuous temperatures of up to 800 degrees C and will not over insulate when properly installed. Motorcycles with 2 pipes need about 25-50 feet of wrap
Motorcycles with a 4cyl engine need about 50 feet of wrap
4 cylinder applications need about 50 feet of wrap
V6 and V8 applications need about 100 feet of wrap
