New Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible revealed
Sun, 03 Mar 2013The soft top version of the new Stingray has been revealed – the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible – ahead of a debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. But aside from issuing the two photos of the new convertible Stingray, Chevy isn’t giving anything away ahead of its debut at Geneva in a few days. But it’s not much of a stretch to expect the same 444bhp 6.2 litre under the bonnet as the regular Stingray, enough to get the Stingray to 62mph in under 4 seconds and no doubt the convertible just a shade behind.
Peugeot Quartz Concept is a 494bhp Hybrid SUV – debuts at Paris Motor Show
Thu, 18 Sep 2014The Peugeot Quartz Concept is a 494bhp Hybrid SUV - The Peugeot Quartz Concept is a concept from Peugeot heading for the Paris Motor Show next month, and it uses a hybrid setup to offer the potential of huge performance from a pair of electric motors and the 270 PS 1.6 litre petrol engine from the RCZ R. Before you get too excited, it seems unlikely the QuartZ Concept is heading for production with its very concept-y look with scissor doors, pop-out steps for access and no B-Pillar, but it does show what could be done if Peugeot is brave enough and it does show the performance potential of the hybrid platform. The hybrid platform consists of the 1.6 litre THP 270 engine from the RCZ R – good for 266bhp – and an electric motor on each axle.
Maserati Levante SUV won't be imported from Detroit after all
Thu, 05 Sep 2013For years, we've been hearing that the upcoming Maserati Levante SUV -- which debuted as the Maserati Kubang -- would be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit. The prospect of a high-dollar luxury crossover coming out of the gritty Motor City was intriguing, but the scheme made a certain sense -- the Levante is built on the same platform as the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unfortunately, it's not gonna happen.
