Movie review: Cars 2 offers more layers than a good paint job

There is layer upon layer of intricate detail in the movie Cars 2, the sequel to the successful 2006 Pixar release Cars. So much detail, in fact, that you might want to wait until the DVD comes out so that you can freeze the frames and pick out all of the subtle automotive styling cues that abound within. But go see the movie.

Ukraine's president Viktor Yanukovych, now hiding in Russia, seemed to have everything imaginable and unimaginable in his car collection on the Dnieper River. Everything from a fiberglass-bodied Ford Custom Coupe based on a 1994 Ford Mustang, to an early post-war GAZ M20 Pobeda. CAFA Degree Show 2011

The 2011 Central Academy of Fine Arts recently held its annual transportation design degree show, themed '2053 sea, land and air amphibious transportation and entertainment design'. Lead by Professor Edward Wong, director of the school's transportation design department, China's leading design school asked students to exert their creativity whilst being conscious of advanced technologies and material applications. The brief called for the next generation of vehicles for the future and whatever environments this may present.
