GRIP RACING began as a small clutch manufacturer in the west side of Los Angeles. We decided to take OE+Racing Clutches and Flywheels into many online platforms to deliver quality built clutches. Each and every clutch is tested and will never leave our shop without being tested for proper release, well pressed rivets, and a nice coat of premium paint. The difference between GRIP RACING and every other seller is that we actually build these products by hand. We do not just simply import a batch of products and sell them without knowing how they perform. We are the next generation of premium clutch specialists. This is not just a business, but also a life style. We, ourselves, are car enthuasists; we know how much time you take to build your car. The GR team wants the best parts for you build. Consider us in your next clutch swap, we guarantee the best of the best. Follow our work, our lifestyle, and our innovations.

Please remember to leave us Positive feedback if you are happy with this transaction. If you are not happy with this transaction for any reason, please contact us first before leaving Negative feedback. We will truly try our best to fix any issues.

Grip Racing stage 3 pro set up was specifically designed for street and track enthuasists who are looking for a clutch to handle abuse and hold the power. This kit is is proven to hold up perfectly in any stock or fully built vehicle. Grip Racing kit contains the highest steel grades and manufactured by engineers who have over 40 years in experience. Our stage 3 pro set contains a heavy duty pressure plate, 6-puck MIBA clutch disc, release bearing, alignment tool, pilot bearing. Our 6-puck sprung MIBA disc has great holding power when paired with our Heavy Duty pressure plates. This kit gives you the best of both worlds, streetable and track proven. Grip Racing disc features MIBA friction material to increase holding capacity and high-heat tolerance. We turned the center of the disc into a sprung hub style to offer an ease of engagement and absorb many of the driveline vibrations. The pressure plates are designed and manufactured as performance units instead of stock pressure plates being modified like most clutch brands do. With precise measurements a special modification is added inside the pressure plate to increase clamp load and give you a moderate pedal feel for a comfortable driving style. Not only do we increase the clamp load, but we also add thicker drive straps and thicker rivets for strength and durability. Last but not least, the most important modification is our friction plate, we use ductile iron instead of regular cast iron to avoid any cracks/breaks on the friction plate when the clutch heats up. These important details make us who we are. Our quality will speak for itself. In the end, all we want is to deliver a responsive set up for your important build. This clutch set up is perfect for street and track use. 500 mile break-in and professional installation recommended. Clutch chatter is normal for aftermarket ceramic kits.

Our genuine GRIP RACING clutch kit includes:

  • Heavy Duty Pressure Plate
  • 6-Puck MIBA Ceramic Clutch Disc (240mm, 17 spline)
  • Premium Release Bearing
  • Nodular Flywheel

Torque Capacity (ft/lbs.): 478ft/lbs
**This clutch set up is a pre-assembled clutch kit with pressure plate, disc, and flywheel which bolts onto your flex plate**

Racing Disc

Our 6-puck sprung disc offers a great engagement for low, mild, and high TQ/HP applications. This disc can be paired with any of our pressure plates or any other brand. This disc is built for great holding capacity and enables drivers to shift quicker than usual and hard slips all the way to the finish line. Due to the weight of the drive plate, your shifts will become much more easier, lighter and also quicker. Our 6-puck, spring-centered race disc features a spring-center construction to properly damp torsional vibrations and resist failure under harsh conditions. GRIP's spring retainers utilize wrap around spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and increase strength and reliability. With the 6-puck, spring-centered race disc engagement is aggressive but streetable. The disc can absorb three times more amount of heat then a regular OEM disc. Our race disc is recommended for all types of racing. Its also available for every application. 500 mile break-in is mandatory to receive the best results. Suggested for any modified, street & track driven application. CLUTCH CHATTER IS NORMAL ON ALL PUCK CLUTCHES.

Clutch Discs:

With years of expertise our engineers design, develop, test and manufacture distinctive friction and steel materials. We manufacture outstanding friction and steel materials with remarkable friction and wear characteristics that will help engage the clutch smoothly. The disc spring is the center section of a clutch disc in which we add stronger springs with a semi-closed retainer to prevent any springs from popping out and destroying another important part in your engine. Our spring-type disc are used worldwide to put an end to all engine and driveline noise by absorbing vibrations. This provides you a comfortable driving style.

Miba buttons are produced using a patented “sprinkling technique”, and compacted powder metallurgy. Metal powder is first sprinkled and compacted directly on the steel backing plate using precision tools and high pressure. This procedure helps to assure a 100% sintered bond. The sintering is then carried out in furnaces at temperatures up to 2400°F degrees. The powders fuse together (sinter) into a solid material, matching the desired load. A final “coining” operation, which includes color-coding and testing, ensures exact material density, thickness consistency, and precise centering on the backing plate. Unlike other manufacturers that rely on large amounts of low-cost iron as a “filler” material, Miba relies on a bronze-based material while adding only small amounts of iron to act as a hardening agent. Buttons that use a higher content of bronze, versus iron, are more expensive to produce. However, higher levels of wear resulting from the use of iron buttons prematurely destroys cores and cost substantially more in the long run, resulting in the need to purchase replacement plates and carriers more often.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe caught on video at Nurburgring

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe (pictured) testing at the Nurburgring The new Jaguar F-Type is a fine looking car, but the F-Type Coupe looks set to be the real looker, and we shouldn’t have to wait too long before the coupe hits a motor show (probably Frankfurt in September). Ahead of that reveal – with a likely on-sale date of early 2014 – Jaguar are out playing with the F-Type Coupe at the Nurburgring, blatting it round the ‘Ring’s unforgiving surfaces and bends to shake the last niggles out before launch. This particular F-Type is undoubtedly the V8 S – which we expect will get the same 495bhp output as the V8 S Roadster – and it sounds great; a wonderful V8 roar as it pounds round the track.

Show Review: Art Center Car Classic 2007

Fri, 10 Aug 2007

For those of you who haven't yet attended, Art Center's Car Classic is rapidly becoming the talk of the concours circuit. Held during the middle of the summer trimester at the main Hillside campus in Pasadena, it was started just three years ago and is gaining quite a following not only because of its intimate setting in which to admire the cars but also because attendees rub shoulder-to-shoulder with a variety of current and past industry designers and celebrities. To this fellow automotive enthusiast and Art Center alumnus at least, the Car Classic likens itself most to Lord March's Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival in the UK.

Upcoming Mercedes-Benz MLC-class spied testing

Mon, 14 Jul 2014

Just a few weeks after the debut of the Mercedes-Benz MLC in concept form, prototypes have been spotted testing in Colorado earlier this month. The MLC is meant to offer packaging similar to the BMW X6, combining the SUV shape of the ML with a more coupe-like exterior design. The MLC will make its public debut at the Moscow International Motor Show in August of this year, a location that is perhaps indicative of the target audience for this upcoming crossover.
