Jaguar F-Type to get V8 engine option

The Jaguar F-Type will get a V8 powerplant in addition to a supercharged V6 when it launches in 2013, Autoweek has learned. The much-anticipated two-seat sports car was confirmed in April at the New York auto show. Jaguar then elaborated weeks later at the Beijing motor show that the F-Type would get a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 pushing out 380 hp.

New Toyota Avalon Tease? Toyota are teasing a new saloon car ahead of next month’s New York Auto Show, which is probably the replacement for the Toyota Avalon. The Toyota Avalon is a saloon car we don’t get in Europe, but it is Toyota’s top of the tree car in the States.

Brawn GP wins the verdict at the FIA hearing on the F1 diffuser row [ad#ad-1] Well, Ross Brawn said from the start that the rear diffuser on the Brawn GP car was legal. The man knows his stuff, and has the ability to interpret the regulations to suit his cause, and the FIA has today ruled that he’s right. So Brawn and Jenson Button’s wins stand, the cars are legalĀ  (as are those of Williams and Toyota) and the rest of the F1 teams are going to have to play catch-up very quickly if they’re going to have a chance this year.
