Volkswagen Taigun concept
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Volkswagen has unveiled its new Taigun concept car at the Sao Paolo motor show, previewing a future B-segment SUV. The Taigun continues VW's new SUV aesthetic, first shown on last year's Cross Coupe concept, with a similar, full-width grille and lamp and very strong horizontal feature lines. Unlike the crossover Cross Coupe however, the Taigun follows a more traditional, upright SUV format.
Nürburgring sold for £83m to German auto tech group (2014)
Wed, 12 Mar 2014By Ollie Kew Motor Industry 12 March 2014 11:00 The Nürburgring racetrack in Germany has been sold to German automotive and aerospace technology conglomerate, Capricorn Group, for a figure in excess of €100m (£83m), it has been announced. The Capricorn bid narrowly beat a rival offer from HIG Europe by virtue of its ‘higher purchase price and good prospects for the region’. For now, it’s business as usual.

But we’re not – Hyundai has decided to eschew electric car development. Hyundai has declared that in future they are to concentrate on hybrid car development (which we still feel offers a negative cost/benefit advantage for cheaper cars) and hydrogen fuel cells – of which we approve enormously.
