PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The GT35R Ball Bearing turbocharger assembly is designed to be used on engines displacing 2.0L-4.5L and is typically good for around 600HP. They are also commonly used in twin turbo applications. In this case those figures would be doubled 4.0L-8.0L engines up to 1200HP. Horsepower ratings are generally meant to express the turbochargers maximum airflow capability. Recommended boost pressures are 7psi(.5 Bar) to 21psi(1.5 Bar) and boost pressures should not exceed 30psi(2 Bar). Exceeding 21psi(1.5 Bar) of boost pressure can significantly reduce a turbochargers lifespan. Generally speaking 14psi(1 Bar) is good for a 100% increase in horsepower from a naturally aspirated engine. Also factory non-turbo engines without forged internal components on high octane pump gas (91-92 octane) it is not recommended exceeding 7psi (.5 Bar) of boost. Doing so could result in damaging your engine.

Details of BMW's latest addition have been officially released. The new 1 Series Coupe - which will be available as both a 128i and a 135i when it goes on sale in North America - is a modern interpretation of the classic 2002, with a front-engine and rear-drive configuration. As expected, the new car looks a lot like a 1 Series hatch; the biggest difference being the newly created rear end.

The middle week of September was a crowded one for the CDN team with coverage of the Frankfurt motor show but we still found time to get our period tweeds out and head down to Sussex to cover the Revival weekend. This historic motor racing festival runs over three days, with Friday set aside for qualifying and practice, and races on Saturday and Sunday, with aggregated times to decide the final winner. Special themes this year included 50 years of the E-Type and this years' Fordwater Trophy grid was composed exclusively of this classic front-engined GT, including Lightweight and Low Drag versions that took on the Ferraris and Cobras of the period.
