Once warm the bypass valve opens and releases the transmission fluid to the oil cooler. This is most often the cause of the "mystery whining/tapping noise" coming from under the passenger seat. The noise is caused from the bi-metal strip not closing properly and the fluid draining backwards. What you see in the picture is what you’ll be getting. For a man who’s already founded internet payment facility Paypal, launched Tesla Motors and backing space exploration firm SpaceX, an appearance on The Simpsons is probably just another day in the office for Musk.
