2015 Ford Expedition: First look

Meet the 2015 Ford Expedition, unveiled today at the Dallas auto show. Besides the freshened look, the big news is that Ford's full-size SUV now comes only with the F Series' 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine like its recently announced Lincoln Navigator sibling. At about 370 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, the twin-turbo V6 delivers more power than Ford's ancient 5.4-liter V8 (310 hp, 365 lb ft).

Vauxhall to launch sub-£7k city car

Vauxhall is believed to be working on a budget city car to rival the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 trio unveiled earlier this month at Geneva. According to Auto Express, the new small hatchback will be based on the Chevrolet Spark platform and will start at less than £7,000 – undercutting the firm’s current Adam model by over £4,000. Twenty years ago today – 1 May 1994 – the world lost arguably the most talented Formula One driver ever: Ayrton Senna. Numbers alone don’t quite describe the genius the Brazilian driver showed at the wheel of all manner of cars throughout his career, finding time and speed where others simply couldn’t. So, on the 20th anniversary of Senna’s death in a tragic accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola – only a day after Roland Ratzenberger, a young Austrian driver and friend of Senna, also sadly lost his life, while qualifying – we’re celebrating the life of one of Formula One’s most charismatic drivers.
