Car Design News will be reporting live – via Twitter – from the Vehicle Design MA Degree Show 2010 at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London on the afternoon of Thursday, 24 June (after 13:00 GMT).  The CDN team will be attending the show and interviewing the RCA's student designers, researchers, tutors, alumni, automotive experts and other professionals in attendance from the design community. We'll be posting all our news, photos, video clips and interviews to CDN's Twitter site so CDN's audience can get a real insight into innovative, future transport solutions from some of the world's most talented vehicle design students. Driving 'too pricey' for the young

A THIRD of young people say driving is not too expensive and they will not bother to learn to drive or buy a car. A study of 17- to 25-year olds found a third (35%) had decided against driving or owning a car because of the expense involved. Many cited the cost of driving lessons as a disincentive and they also believe it is cheaper to use public transport than own a car themselves.

2011 Audi A8 loads up on technology, interior comfort

If you had just the side views of the new, fourth-generation 2011 Audi A8 sedan and its predecessor to look at side by side, the differences appear more subtle than stark. There are the fancy LED headlights and relocated body-side character lines on the new A8, but the roofline and body pillars are mostly unchanged. Inside, though, the change is dramatic.
