Condition:Used Brand:Ultra Number of Bolts:5 Rim Diameter:17 Color:Black

You are bidding on 4 Hall Ultra Mk IX rims. These are Campagnolo look-a-like wheels designed by Hall Pantera for the 71-74 Pantera. According to Tara at Hall, these were made for Hall by Ultra in the 1980s.They are black with 5 polished inserts around the openings. They are in excellent condition given their age. No curb rash. No cracks. Two are 17" x 8" and two are 17" x 11". Winning bid includes the centerpieces with black Detomaso logos, chrome caps, lug nuts, and large black nut that secures cap. Also included are the original spinner knock-offs that can be used in lieu of the large black nut. This was the style used on Gary Hall's "Black Beauty" project. The word "ULTRA" is embossed on each arm of the knock-off. These rims were assembled by Tara in the 1980s and it is her handwriting that appears on the wheels. (The polished inserts are held in place with 4 allen head bolts). Bolt pattern is standard Ford 5 x 4.5". The negatives are this: one of the chrome centercaps has a few dings in it. They are not noticeable when mounted, especially when using the spinner knock-offs. Also one of the front rims has some oxidation on the outer trim. This resembles hard water stains and is best seen in photo #5. Not sure if it can be buffed out. Again, hardly noticeable when mounted.
Auction does not include the car or tires, just the rims with the other items listed.
No international shipping on this item. Good luck bidding!

Armored Škoda Superb from SVOS has a few tricks up its sleeve

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

We've all read about armored BMW and Mercedes-Benz cars, and a few of us can even spot them in traffic, but there are plenty of armored options for slightly less flash transportation. Large German sedans make great platforms for armoring, and are one of the most popular choices in countries where there is a need for that sort of thing, but they're far from being the only sedans that can offer security-minded customers the relative peace of mind that comes with ownership of such a car. Besides, if you need to travel discreetly, a Mercedes-Benz S-class isn't always the best option -- which is why armoring companies will gladly modify less-obvious cars like the new Škoda Superb.

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 30 September 2013 09:45 GM Europe has racked up enormous losses every year since 1999; in 2012 it bled $1.8 billion while GM North America earned $6.9 billion before tax.
