Top Gear vs Tesla: High Court rules no libel
Wed, 19 Oct 2011Top Gear did not libel Tesla High Court rules We’re sure you remember Tesla getting uppity about the Top Gear Episode where Jeremy claimed the Tesla Roadster has run out of charge after just 55 miles on the track at Dunsfold. Well, that little spat has now reached the High Court in London. But it’s not good news for Tesla.
Non-starting Nissan LEAFs to be reprogrammed
Sun, 17 Apr 2011NIssan LEAF - date with a laptop They’re not exactly thick on the ground but, as we reported just a week ago, Nissan has already got problems with the Nissan LEAF, which has been refusing to restart once it’s stopped. Not restarting is not exactly a safety issue, so as long as you can actually get your nice new Nissan LEAF to start in the first place there’s no chance it will pack up on you mid-journey (unless you run out of electrickery). But having stumped up at least £10k more than an equivalent ICE car would cost for your LEAF, the least you should be able to expect is it to do what it says on the tin without packing up.
Fioravanti Thalia concept
Fri, 23 Feb 2007Fioravanti will be represented at the Geneva Motor Show by this, the Thalia, named after one of the three Graces of Greek mythology. The rear hump means a staggered silhouette, reflecting the rear seating which has been elevated to accommodate 'the most recent alternative energy technology.' Along with its unusual architecture, the sketch also shows a unique graphic break, with the dominant sweep and rear-biased mass reminding a little of the Mazda Senku concept. It will be interesting to see the model in Geneva.
