Harken Hexaratchets® grip loaded sheets, yet allow sailors to ease and trim quickly and with complete control. A switch on the side engages and disengages the ratchet mechanism.

Harken Ratchets feature Hardkote-anodized, Teflon® impregnated eight-sided sheaves machined from solid aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance. Free-rolling Delrin® ball bearings, sheave, and sideplates are UV stabilized with carbon black for maximum protection. Highstrength stainless steel straps reinforce blocks.

Use the 009 Harken reverse ratchets with becket on spinnaker and jib sheets where ratchets rotate in opposite directions and on/off switches face up.

Use for:
Mainsheet systems, Jib sheets, Spinnaker sheets, Vangs and Furling Lines.

The Aston Martin One-77 tops 220mph in testing We saw the Aston Martin One-  77 all over the place last year. It turned up Geneva, at Villa D’Este in the summer and the One-77 was also to be seen at Salon Prive in July where our leader spent time checking it out together with celebrity petrol-head JK. But it’s gone a bit quiet on the One-77 front lately as Aston Martin work to iron out the wrinkles before the One-77 starts to hit the roads in the Summer.

It was one of the more memorable automotive events this year, and the massive thunderstorm only added to the drama. Last night Mercedes-Benz launched its new S-Class sedan in the delivery hall of Airbus in Hamburg and Car Design News was there to get the low-down on this eagerly-awaited limo. Context was fittingly provided by an A380 lounging in the background as the current lineup of Mercedes-Benz escorted Benz's big boy onto the stage, amidst artificial fireworks and real thunder and lightning.

The assets of Fisker may now belong to China's auto parts giant Wanxiang, but reports of the brand's demise have been greatly exaggerated. It was earlier believed that along with the technology and the debt that Wanxiang would be taking on, one thing they wouldn't get is the Fisker brand name itself. After all, in the relatively short history of struggling western automotive brands that have been bought up by Chinese automakers, brand names haven't always been part of the deal.
