Chrysler future products: 2 cars coming from Fiat, minivan's future considered

The Chrysler and Lancia brands will be joined at the hip in the coming years. The two brands will sell similar versions of large, mid-sized and compact sedans and possibly a minivan. Chrysler will be sold predominantly in North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland; Lancia will be sold in continental Europe.

Nissan teams up with Williams for sporty Nismo cars from 2014

Nissan’s performance car skunkworks arm Nismo (short for Nissan Motorsports) has agreed a deal with Williams Advanced Engineering to co-develop faster versions of Nissan’s road cars from 2014. It doesn’t mean the Williams F1 team will be developing the forthcoming Nismo version of the GT-R, but the Formula One team and Williams Advanced Engineering are part of the same group founded by Sir Frank Williams. You get used to the almost on/off nature of driving a small, turbo diesel that it’s rather nice to get a petrol engine with more linear power and a more fluid note for a change. But 95bhp is not quite enough for really flying along – even in a compact-sized car – but it’s enough to propel the C3 around town quite adequately.
