50 Jaguar E-Types in convoy through London

The E-Type Convoy through London - in the rain This isn’t the first story we’ve run this year with ’50′ and Jaguar E-Type in the headline, and it’s a safe bet won’t be the last either. Unless you’ve been in Motoring purdah for the whole of 2011, you’ll know that this year is the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Jaguar E-Type at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, and Jaguar are making the most of the anniversary at every step. But this time it’s not Jaguar who are making the most of the E-Type’s birthday, it’s the organisers of the 2011 Motorexpo in Canary Wharf, who’ve teamed up with the Jaguar’s Driving Club to drive fifty E-Types across London and out to Canary Wharf to kick of this year’s show.

The fourth annual Auto Design Prague conference will take place on 18 September at the National Technical Library in Prague-Dejvice. The event is open to professionals and the wider public, and will include a program of 10 presentations by designers including vice president of Ferrari design, Flavio Manzoni; Volvo design director Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar's advanced design director, Julian Thompson, and Qoros head of design, Gert Hildebrand. Ford C-Max & Grand C-Max 2015 FACELIFT revealed Ford has been busy grafting their new grill on to cars across their range recently, and the latest models to get the ‘Gaydon Grill’ (and other tweaks) are the C-Max and Grand C-Max – Ford’s 5 and 7 seat MPVs based on the Focus – revealed today ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show next month. As you’e expect, the changes amount to pretty much what we’ve seen with the Ford Focus facelift, so there’s a new grill to make the Ford statement accompanied by new headlights and bonnet. Round the back the tailgate has been given a slicker, simplified makeover, there’s a new bumper and smaller lights.
