New Peugeot 208 engine options confirmed
Mon, 09 Jan 20122012 Peugeot 208 Engines Confirmed The engine line-up for the new 2012 Peugeot 208 has been confirmed for the UK with a choice of five diesel and five petrol engines. The 68bhp 1.4 litre diesel manages to be very frugal when it comes to emissions – especially with stop-start fitted – with emissions of just 87g/km and an average of 83.1mpg.

Cars such as the new 2014 Smart Fortwo will now be twinned with the next Renault Twingo, while the Forfour is set for a comeback and we can expect plenty of shared combustion engines and electric motors, borrowed platforms and jointly developed SUV tech across all three parties. And that's only scratching the surface of the possibilities opened up by this wide-ranging deal.
