Koenisgesgg Agera R BLT impounded by China’s customs

The one-off Koenigsegg Agera R BLT has been impounded by China’s customs officials as they believe it was being smuggled in to China. When we reported the Agera R BLT had been created, we also noted that it was already crated up and on its way to China for the delight and delectation of its new owner. Unfortunately, it looks like China’s Customs officers read the same news and were ready and waiting for the one-off Agera.

Hyundai today showed off the new i10 city car - one of the most popular small cars in the UK during last year's scrappage incentive scheme. As well as a cosmetic pick-me-up, the new 2011 Hyundai i10 gains a pair of new engines with stop-start tech for emissions nudging just under the magic 100g/km CO2 mark.  The Hyundai i10 Blue emits 99g/km of carbon dioxide, and the Koreans claim it's the cheapest five-seat car on the market to hit sub 100g/km. We all understand that producing limited edition cars adds a bit of showroom gloss, with car makers adding something extra – and often unique to the model, to create a ‘Limited Edition’ with extra equipment to boost sales. But is it stretching things a bit far when a car maker takes an already ‘Limited’ edition car and bolts more goodies on to it to create a ‘new’ limited edition?
