Toyota is about to launch the Prius Plug-In hybrid in the UK and today confirmed it'll cost £27,895. Clever tech comes at a price - the regular Prius costs from £21,560. The price of the plug-in Prius hybrid would be even higher without the Government's £5000 grant.

And now, having matched the Japanese in the mainstream market Kia, in particular, is looking to take things up a rung or three with the Kia GT. The Suzuki S-Cross – which arrived at the 2012 Paris Motor Show as a Concept – will arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show last year saw Suzuki roll out a concept for a new C-segment crossover – the Suzuki S-Cross Concept – which was clearly close to production ready. So it’s no surprise that the production version of the Suzuki S-Cross is arriving at the Geneva Motor Show next month – before heading for a Suzuki dealer near you by the end of 2013 – looking very faithful to the S-Cross Concept design.
