Range Rover Evoque production starts

The First Production Range Rover Evoque rolls out at Halewood You could be forgiven for thinking that the Range Rover Evoque was already in production. But you’d be wrong. Actually, whether to keep Maybach on the Daimler life support system is a question that has taxed the brains of many a Mercedes exec,  almost since the Maybach brand got its revival under Mercedes and turned in to a cross between a stretched old S-Class, a Playstation and a glitterball. Because despite the efforts of Mercedes to position the Maybach above the S-Class – and in to competition with Rolls Royce and Bentley – the Maybach has somehow conspired to be less desirable than the S-Class.

Redesigned 2012 Subaru Impreza bows at the New York auto show

The redesigned 2012 Subaru Impreza made its debut in New York on Wednesday with a more refined look, a longer wheelbase and a new four-cylinder engine. The Impreza's horizontally opposed 2.0-liter produces 148 hp and returns 36 mpg on the highway, even with all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is maximized with electric power steering and low-rolling-resistance tires.
