Frankfurt motor show revisited: a reader’s review
Mon, 05 Oct 2009By Richard Webber Motor Shows 05 October 2009 17:26 Richard Webber won a competition held by CAR and Vauxhall to take a CAR Online reader to Frankfurt. Here's his earlier report from the 2009 IAA - and you can now watch his video preview of the new 2010 Astra below I was chuffed to bits to win CAR’s competition to go to the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Renault to unveil Alpine-branded concept car at Monaco GP
Tue, 22 May 2012Renault is set to unveil an Alpine-branded concept car at this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. The A110-50 – so named to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the oh-so-pretty A110 rally car – is clearly a development of the 2010 DeZir concept car although with only one leaked image to analyze, it's difficult to know by what amount it has changed. Clearly it has been subjected to the addition of a myriad of additional details, surfaces, inlets, outlets and various pieces of racing addenda however that, on the little evidence we have, appear to have added drama to the detriment of the refreshingly non-aggressive nature of the DeZir.
Bugatti Galibier - it’s the new Royale (2010): the first official photo
Wed, 15 Jul 2009By Tim Pollard (two artist's impressions of blue car by R.Varicak/MotorForecast) First Official Pictures 15 July 2009 16:56 These are the first official glimpses of the new Bugatti Royale – the legendary limousine reinvented for the 21st century. Bugatti is readying the new Royale to celebrate the company’s centenary this autumn, where it will be shown to prospective customers on the eve of the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. We’ll be the first to admit that the original teaser photo, scanned from a VIP invite by an eagle-eyed CAR reader, doesn’t reveal too much of the new Bugatti Royale – but today a second image popped up on Pistonheads which we've reproduced here, revealing more of the Rapide.
