Harley Davidson 1926 to 1929 J JD VL  3 Speed Transmission  for 61 and 74 c.i. twins.  3 speed slider gear transmission, 26-14830.

This transmission was gone over by a local HD back in the day,   I ran it  in my VL  for about a year until I found the proper VL transmission and it's been on the shelf for about 40 years.  The push pull rod works easily.  The kicker works good but in my opinion the bushing should be replaced.  The gears all look good.  No chipped or cracked teeth.  Sprocket looks good and no hooking on teeth.  This is in very good shape and shifts easily.  Detent works good.  The clutch release lever was welded at some time.  All case threads good.  No visible cracks in case.  Casting number still visible.  See photos for condition.

NOTE:  This will also bolt into a VL but the adjuster doesn’t line up in a VL frame.

Sold as is with no returns so please look at photos.  Please ask questions prior to your bidding.

Shipped usually 2 to 3 days via USPS after receipt of payment.  No international shipping.

Buyer to pay via Paypal within 48 hours of close of auction.

Electric Ford Focus starts European production

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

The Electric Ford Focus (pictured) is now being built in Europe The electric Ford Focus is already in production, and on sale, in the USA, and now it’s gone in to production in Germany ahead of arriving with owners in July. So far, the Focus EV hasn’t been an overwhelming success in the US, with just over 700 sold in the first five months of 2013 but, even though Ford see the EV as a niche product, they’re still hoping to make a dent in sales of the Nissan LEAF in Europe. The Focus EV comes with an electric motor producing 143bhp and powered by a bank of lithium-ion batteries.

Vauxhall Vectra renamed as Insignia

Mon, 03 Dec 2007

By Motor Industry 03 December 2007 09:46 Vauxhall has renamed its Vectra replacement, and like we all thought, it's going to be called Insignia. According to Vauxhall the Insignia name represents 'a new name for a new era', and we'll see if Vauxhall is telling the truth when the covers come off the new car at the British Motor Show in July 2008. It's a big claim for Vauxhall, but the teaser shot (above right) shows that at least Vauxhall seems to have gotten the design of the Insignia right.
