Geneva 2014 debut for Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme concept

Vauxhall will unveil its fastest Astra model ever at this year’s 2014 Geneva Motor Show when it pulls the covers off its Astra VXR Extreme concept car. Vintage racer Anatoly Arutunoff in serious but stable condition

Automotive enthusiast, vintage racer, rapscallion and country-boy bon vivant Anatoly Arutunoff is in serious but stable condition following an accident on Feb. 8 while reportedly being a Good Samaritan. Arutunoff, known as Toly to his friends, was on his way to the Sports Car Club of America convention in Las Vegas when he stopped to help a stranded driver along Interstate 40 in Amarillo, Texas.

Hyundai iX35 (2010) and Santa Fe (2010) 4x4s scooped

Both will use Hyundai’s high performance ‘R’ turbodiesel engines and the choice of a manual or new automatic six-speed ‘box. It’s largely derived from the iX-onic concept shown at Geneva in March 2009, including the snake-eye side glass profile (which has been obscured at the rear on this mule) and at least some of the muscle on the wings.
