"This auction is for work on your parts"
With the increased need for speed, or more torque for that big road touring bike there has been more interest in making motors bigger. With today's technology and machining capabilities it is now possible to make your existing motor bigger, yes bigger. And it will keep it's longevity, might even increase it a bit, get better fuel mileage and just raise the fun factor in riding the old bike. The HD factory has spent countless hours and research money to build a twin cam motor that is an out standing value and can be made to handle bigger motors without the worries of having problems. The stock cases can be easily bored out to make it a 124" torque monster that can carry all the luggage you can carry on the bike, or put in the trailer or sidecar and still be 100% reliable and fun to drive. Fully loaded traveling on the highway at 80+ and need to pass a truck or car ?? No problem, just roll on the throttle and the bike will instantly move forward and will continue to accelerate until you get out of the throttle.
The secret to the power in this package is the new bigger custom pistons and cylinder sets. There are two companies making these kits, S&S and Revolution. I have used both companies with great results and success and feel very comfortable recommending them.
There are many big motor combinations that are available for all the twin cam motors. If you have an early bike, 1999 to 2006 with a 4" stroke then you can make it a 114" or a 124".
If you have a later bike, 2007 to present then you can make a 117" or a 124" motor.
So what does it take to make a kit like this ??
You will need to remove the motor from the bike, disassemble the top end and cam chest and send to me. I will disassemble the lower end and clean all the parts. I will then true and weld the flywheels, next I will do the timken conversion, set up the crank end play. With part of the job done I will fixture the cases in my CNC milling machine and bore out the spigot holes to accept the larger pistons and cylinders, then I will completely reassemble the lower end, package and return to you. All you have to do is reinstall the lower end in the bike and assemble the top end and cam chest and you will have the motor of your dreams.
This kit contains: 2 cylinders, bored and honed to size, with new pistons, rings, clips and pins. I will bore and fit cases for new cylinder/piston combination, it also includes true and weld your flywheels, convert the your cases to a Timken style bearings, includes the bearings, set end play, and reassemble the lower end.
All you have to do is pick out the size of the motor you want. I also have cylinder heads, throttle bodies and cams for this package.
Any questions just ask ???
Here is a list of some of the other parts that are recommended. I can also provide these parts.
