Interior Motives Design Awards 2012

At a glamorous awards ceremony at the Espace Clacquesin in Paris earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together to watch sponsors Peugeot and Volkswagen reveal the 2012 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Autopool' by Siavash Jafari Jozani and Mina Kasirifar from the University of Tehran. At the end of what was a memorable event, the two Iranian students walked away with one of the most prestigious accolades in the automotive design industry and a cash prize of $5,000. De Macross GT1 (2011) first official pictures

These are the first pictures and details of a new supercar from fledgling Canadian company De Macross Motors Corp (DMMC), which was set up in 2009. It's called the GT1, and CAR has been given the lowdown on this new supercar. The car you see here is a 25% scale model of the De Macross GT1, which is being developed in conjunction with component manufacturer Multimatic.

Ford is giving potential customers a chance to drive its EcoBoost turbocharged, direct-injected vehicles in the fashion they were intended: on the track. The company is kicking off its EcoBoost Challenge, taking place in 12 cities across the U.S. starting April 12.
