Range Rover Hybrids press ahead on Silk Trail route to Mumbai

A trio of Range Rover Hybrid prototypes is well on its way to India on a 9,950-mile endurance drive through 12 countries. Land Rover is following the old Silk Trail to the east, but while it took ancient merchants months to complete the route, the Land Rover Hybrid team will be doing it in just 53 days. The Silk Trail is a historical network of trade routes which connected Asia with Europe and the Mediterranean, and got its name from the Chinese silk which was a lucrative trade item well into the 14th century.

Mercedes B-class (2012): the first look inside

Mercedes is giving its new small car range a much more modern cabin. This first official photo inside the new 2012 Merc B-class reveals a cockpit with distinctive round air vents from the SLK and a heavily stylised dashboard. Ferrari F40: 60 F40s parade at Silverstone Classic (+video)

A total of 60 Ferrari F40s took to the Silverstone track at last weekend’s Silverstone Classic to celebrate 25 years of the F40 – a world record. Perhaps, just perhaps, the Ferrari F40 is Ferrari’s finest hypercar and stands as Enzo Ferrari’s last automotive statement before his death a year after the F40 launched in 1987. To celebrate the F40′s 25th birthday the Silverstone Classic gathered together as many F40s as they could muster for a parade lap at Silverstone at the weekend.
