New owner Tom McDowell had taken over the annual "Celebration of Italian Style" and moved the whole festival from the rather barren airport location to the sprawling Laguna Seca Golf Ranch just downhill from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Mercedes-Benz recalling 2,297 diesel cars for fuel leak
Fri, 05 Nov 2010Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 2,300 diesel-powered cars to fix a leak in the fuel system. The recall covers 2011 models of the E-class, the GL-class, the M-class and the R-class. The fuel leak is caused by a faulty fuel-filter O-ring that may have not been properly lubricated.
2013 Honda CR-Z hybrid gets power boost
Mon, 19 Nov 2012The slow-selling Honda CR-Z hybrid hatchback gets a new lithium-ion battery pack and more-powerful electric for the 2013 model year. The change from a nickel metal hydride battery pack helps boost output from the hybrid powertrain's electric motor from 10 kilowatts to 15 kilowatts. The powertrain's combined output is now rated at 130 hp at 6,000 rpm, up 8 hp from the 2012 model.
