. ...You are bidding on what looks like a nice old original pair of World War 2 era Gas Tank PAINTED STEEL Emblems. ...These PAINTED STEEL Emblems were used from 1943 to early 1946 unlike all the other Chrome Plated BRASS emblems made and used from 1940 to 1942 and then on some late 1946 models. I'm guessing those models included Knuckleheads. UL Big Twin Flatheads and 45's but i'm not sure about Servi-Cars?? . ...I'm guessing that these were repainted recently some sort of light yellow rattle can paint and then someone tried to take the yellow off with some sort of solvent?? If I had to guess from what I see now these MIGHT have been black with yellow triangles?? But I could be wrong? .Maybe the yellow can be removed? Or maybe not?? .. They are pretty straight but there are a few minor wavy spots around the edges. They do have some rust on the inside as shown but it is not cancerous as it only appears to be surface rust. The backsides look like they MIGHT be Nickel Plated? . ...The also have the circled letter "G"" that is very readable on one of them. The other one has a very very faint shadow of that G that barely can be seen but it is there if you look close enough in the right light with a magnifying glass. I have no doubt these have been a matched pair since birth. ...Either put these on a barn bike as is or strip and repaint for a driver. ...They do have some minor ripples and dings but they are fairly straight and not all warped or bent up. ...The rounded edges all the way around are not flatten and distorted like some you see. ...Provisions on both ends for mounting are nice with no cracks or egged out cracked holes.. Mon, 02 Jun 20142015 Audi RS7 facelift (pictured) revealed It’s not much more than a year or so since the Audi RS7 was revealed at the Detroit Motor Show, but it’s already getting a bit of a facelift. The changes aren’t enormous, but with the A7 and S7 getting a tweak for 2015 there’s no way Audi could leave the RS7 to struggle on with the ‘old’ look. Changes pretty much mirror those on the A7/S7 with a single frame grill and slightly different front bumper changing the nose (although you’ll probably need them side by side to spot the changes) with standard LED headlights and the option of Audi’s new matrix headlights on offer with darker graphics to set them apart from those of the A7/S7.
2011 Audi R8 GT, an AW first look
Sun, 02 May 2010Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled a hard-core version of its R8 called the GT. Based on the existing mid-engine R8 V10 and incorporating aerodynamic, weight-saving and mechanical developments used by the company's R8 LMS GT3 race car, Ingolstadt will build just 333 copies of the new 560-hp four-wheel-drive performance flagship. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but given the extent of the changes to the new two-seater, buyers should expect a hefty premium over the R8 V10's $147,000 price tag when the GT goes on sale in North America.
