:

This a very used OEM Smiths tachometer and mounting bracket for your vintage K Model racer or ’58 on XLCH Sportster.  This is the version of the tach that goes to 8000 RPM.  The tach does NOT work and will need to be restored.  Note the lens has a crack in it.  The bracket will also need to be repaired as one mounting “ear” has broken off.  The ear is there and will need to welded back on.  Maybe you can use it.  What you see is what you get.  Parts are sold on an as is basis.  No guarantees, no returns.  I try to describe items as best I can.  Please feel free to ask questions BEFORE the auction ends.  I will reply as quickly as possible.  No problem combining shipping on multiple item purchases.  NO MORE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!  The USPS has made filling out the customs forms way too difficult.  See my other auction items for Harley Davidson K Model, Knucklehead, Flathead, Panhead and Shovelhead motorcycles.

Henrik Fisker resigns from Fisker Automotive

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Henrik Fisker, founder and executive chairman of struggling plug-in hybrid vehicle maker Fisker Automotive, has resigned. In an email today to Automotive News, Henrik Fisker, referring to himself in the third person, said: "The main reasons for his resignation are several major disagreements that Henrik Fisker has with the Fisker Automotive executive management on the business strategy." Fisker confirmed his resignation in a phone interview and declined to comment further. Tony Posawatz, who became president and CEO of the company in August, said this morning that he had just been made aware of the resignation.

Dacia Duster (2010) first official photos

Tue, 08 Dec 2009

By Richard Webber First Official Pictures 08 December 2009 15:50 This is our first look at the new 2010 Duster – the new economy crossover from Dacia. My memory’s a little dusty – remind me about Dacia...Dacia has been building cars in Romania since 1966, and, since a Renault takeover in 1999, has expanded to produce over half a million cars annually, built at plants across the world and sold in countries as diverse as Germany, Iran, Russia, Morocco and Colombia.Since 2004 all of its cars have been based on the company’s B0 – that's zero, not a whiffy 'O' – platform, and top sellers are the mid-sized Logan saloon and estate, and the five-door Sandero hatchback. Didn’t Dacia present a crossover concept at Geneva 2009?So you don’t see the resemblance?

Goodwood Revival – with Mr Bean

Fri, 28 Aug 2009

Rowan Atkinson as Mr Bean will feature at this year's Goodwood Revival But one big petrolhead – who is a Goodwood regular – is Rowan Atkinson, and Goodwood has persuaded him to recreate the Mr Bean sketch – for it is Rowan who is Mr Bean – driving a Mini whilst seated on the roof ,utilising a variety of household articles to control the Mini from a comfy armchair. I can’t confess to being a Mr Bean fan (although I adore Black Adder), but Mr Bean has made Rowan a very rich man, so I’m sure it will prove a big draw. Apart from his daily sketch recreation, Rowan will be driving a 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S in the St Mary’s Trophy saloon car race, which this year is all-Mini and recreates a Mini race that took place at Goodwood in the early sixties.
