 This kit is for a Harley Davidson Shovelhead exhaust flange hole with 5/16-18 thread.  The aluminum threads will strip out sometimes.   A Helicoil insert will last forever, unless it works its way out from tightening and loosening the nut and stud.  In this kit, the stainless steel socket head bolt takes the place of the stud.  The stainless steel nut and lock washer, on the bolt, are tightened down against the exhaust flange.  An allen head wrench acts as a back up to keep the socket head bolt from turning and bottoming out in the hole.  A small amount of Never-Seize keeps the stainless free to turn after a lot of heat and time.  The Shovelhead exhaust flange, in the picture, shows the amount of thread that goes in the head.  The socket head bolt is not tightened down in the head, only run in until it starts to bottom out, and then back off a little.  The nut and the lock washer do all of the holding tight against the exhaust flange.  I saw this in an old magazine, years ago.  I used this on 2 Shovelhead motors I built and ran, it worked great.  The kit consists of the 4 exhaust gaskets, they are the 'fire ring' type.  The 2 socket head bolts, 2 nuts and 2 lock washers are stainless steel.  The Shovel exhaust flange does not go with this kit.  Please contact with any concerns or questions.  There are more exhaust parts in the eBay store.  NOTICE...The Free Shipping is by  USPS  First Class Mail, it could take up to 9 business days delivery time, after it is paid for, if you want this item quicker, contact me before purchasing, for charges for the quicker delivery service.
