This is a new harley Sportster beefed up muffler bracket for the 2 into 1 Screaming Eagle & after market performance mufflers. If you have one of these systems you know how cheap Harley made the brackets for them. They break about every 5000 miles because they used a piece of stamped steel to hold the muffler. My local dealer started putting an extra weld across the piece of stamped steel for extra support. My wife had 28,000 miles on hers with no problem til she totaled the bike. This was a spare one that I had for it but we never had to use it. These brackets are over $75 new

JLR Sales up in September thanks to XF 2.2 & Evoque We’ve had cause to take Jaguar Land Rover (well, Jaguar) to task lately for disappointing sales, particularly in the US and the UK. So it seems only fair, after dishing out disapprobation, that we should balance that with a story about a decent set of sales figures for JLR in September, especially in the face of weakening sales from other manufacturers in the UK. Unsurprisingly – although how long it will last is debatable – China was the strongest performer for Jaguar, certainly in percentage terms, with a rise of 156 per cent for Jaguar and 85 per cent for Land Rover and year on year figures up 60 per cent.

MG6 Launch revives Morris Garages moniker

Sun, 22 Nov 2009

The new MG6 gets badged 'Morris Garages'. Life has not been easy over the last few years for MG. Or should I say what remains of MG after the debacle of the ‘Phoenix Four’ who took over MG Rover from BMW for a token £10 – and £425 million in working capital to boot – and set about selling off the rights to MG to the Chinese in the form of SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation).
