We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- Here's your daily giggle: Watch some dancing grannies cruise in their Mitsubishi i-MiEV in an ad for Cambio, a Belgian car-sharing company.

Toyota FT-86 leaks out. Well, FT-86 with Modellista extras

Toyota FT-86 leaks out (click picture for full size) It’s no real surprise that the first photos of the Toyota FT-86 in production trim have leaked out from a printed brochure ahead of the official reveal at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. After all, printers have a lead time to get hard copy brochures printed and there’s nothing that leaks quite as much as a printer with a scoop on his desk. So we get treated to what appear to be the first proper pictures of Toyota’s FT-86 (for the Subaru BRZ just add Subaru badges in your head), and it looks quite bit more aggressive than we’d expected.

BMW i8: Mission Impossible

BMW i8 in Mission Impossible 4 Marketing new cars doesn’t have to mean an ‘in your face advertising’,  berating you with benefits and a call to action. It can be more subtle; simply raising awareness or putting the cars in a high-profile role in a popular film or TV show. Just like Aston Martin with James Bond (and Jaguar Land Rover in the new Bond, too) and Volvo with the Twilight franchise, BMW has placed its product in the new Tom Cruise outing – Mission Impossible 4 | Ghost Protocol.
