Car dealers are buying again

Used car sales in the UK (and just about everywhere else, for that matter) have been in the doldrums, to say the least, for many months. The inexorable decline in car values has left many dealers nursing painful losses on stock cars, and has led to the strange situation where, however desperate a dealer was to sell you a new car, he wouldn’t (or couldn’t) offer you a part-ex price. If you're a Corvette fanatic dying to take delivery of that C7 you've placed an order on, take heart: There's a vehicle transporter laden with 10 (or is it 11?) 2014 Stingray coupes roaming the American southwest. Submitted by Autoweek reader Dan Becker, the photo doesn't tell us much about the car, but at this point we're all fairly well-versed in the details. Two different five-spoke wheels are visible -- most are black but we see at least one shiny set -- but beyond that, nothing is visible; the cars' tight wrappings don't even betray a sliver of the colors underneath.

Excellent SRT-4 powered K-car wagon for sale

Straight from the deepest depths of “why didn't we think of that?” comes this excellent application of American ingenuity and can-do spirit, a 1987 Chrysler Town and Country station wagon with the “motor, transmission, suspension, brakes and everything little in between” from a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. It's maroogundy, it's got faux-woodgrain, the brothel-spec interior, and the builder did a pretty decent job of maintaining a stock appearance both inside and out. It even has period-correct pedals and steering wheel.
