Making of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo (video)
Sun, 30 Dec 2012Porsche has released a video chronicling the development of the Panamera Sport Turismo as the first model extension of the Panamera. Earlier this month we had a video from Porsche of the Panamera Sport Turismo on the move with comments and insights on the design process, and now we get a more detailed look at the development and thinking behind the transition from ugly duckling Panamera to stunningly good looking Panamera Sport Turismo. Porsche don’t want to call the Sport Turismo a Station Wagon, but that is effectively what the Sport Turismo is (and it can’t be a true Shooting Brake with four doors).
Audi S4 and S4 Avant (2008) first official photos
Tue, 23 Sep 2008By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 23 September 2008 00:01 This is Audi’s all-new S4 which makes its debut in saloon and Avant (estate) guise at next month’s Paris motor show. It may look much like you’d expect it to, but in a radical move, Audi is turning its back on turbocharging – the S4 is powered by a new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 that pumps out 329bhp and a hefty 325lb ft of torque for a 5.1 second sprint to 60mph and a 155mph top speed. We’re a little perplexed ourselves, to be honest.
Ford Mondeo ECOnetic averages 101mpg from Helsinki to Oslo
Fri, 18 May 2012Ford Mondeo ECOnetic Economy Record A Ford Mondeo ECOnetic has averaged 101.25mpg on a 1576 mile drive from Helsinki to Oslo, a new European record. The official fuel economy figures car makers quote are, to a great extent, the stuff of fiction; designed to deliver the best possible results in official testing but with little relevance to the real world. But the fact the official figures can be achieved does mean, driving style permitting, that extraordinary feats of economy can be demonstrated by modern, fuel efficient cars.
